The distribution of Personal Care Kits and School Kits is in conjunction with the International Orthodox Christian Charities' (IOCC) water project, which works to provide schools in the Bamenda area in Northwest Cameroon with a stable source of clean water for drinking and hygiene. The addditon of Personal Care Kits will further the promotion of good hygiene practices and help integrate this component into the educational curriculm of the schools. Furthermore, the supplies needed to attend school are too expensive for some families in the area. School Kits will encourage students to attend school regularly and allow their families to spend their money on other basic needs.
Personal Care Kits will reinforce good hygiene practices, which will in turn reduce disease and increase livelihood. School Kits will increase school attendance and allow families to focus on fulfilling their other basic needs.
