Quilts and Kits for Vulnerable Populations and Syrian Refugees in Armenia

12:07 Jul 20 2013 Shirak Province, Armenia

Description
The region of Shirak Mraz is one of the poorest in Armenia. It is still recovering from a devastating earthquake, which forced thousands to leave their homes. Combined with the recent economic downturn, which caused many to lose their jobs, the region relies heavily on social assistance to meet its basic needs. In addition, according to the UNHCR, there are approximately 5,000 Syrian refugees in the region.

Mission Quilts, Personal Care Kits, School Kits and Baby Care Kits will go to cover the basic needs of vulnerable families and children, as well as Syrian refugees.
