With the escalation of the civil war in Syria, hundreds of Syrian and Palestinian refugees are arriving in Lebanon each week. 40-50,000 refugees are registered with UNHCR. Quilts have been identified as a major need for this community, especially since many refugees are living with host families who are already financially strapped themselves.
Quilts will be distributed in Palestinian refugee camps throughout Lebanon, as well as in villages where many refugees from Syria are residing. Each family member will receive their own Quilt.
