The United Nations estimates that 2.5 million people are directly impacted by the current crisis in Syria. Syrians are fleeing in increasing numbers to neighboring countries, including Iraq, which is currently hosting over 14,000 refugees. Many of them are now living in tents in Domiz refugee camp. They often left their homes with little but the clothes they were wearing.
Quilts and Personal Care Kits have been distributed to Syrian refugees in Domiz camp. The Quilts provided extra comfort as they transition to living in camps. Tight living spaces with poor sanitation can impact the refugees' health; Personal Care Kits can give them some resources to keep themselves healthy.
