Description
Government funding to orphanages, retirement centers, and boarding schools in Armenia is often extremely limited. The average income per family is around $2.50-$3/day, and resources such as blankets are prohibitively expensive.
Quilts have been distributed to residents of over 65 of these institutions, providing comfort and warmth during the impending winter months as well as through the life of the Quilts. Recipients included the elderly, orphans, the socially vulnerable, and the mentally disabled.
