Although Tanzania has tropical zones, certain areas get quite cold in the winter, so vulnerable populations in particular may struggle to stay warm at night. Mission Quilts will be distributed to elderly folks, orphans, people living with HIV/AIDS, and other groups living in established centers of care.

A social worker in charge of Misufini Old peoples Residence speaking about what was learned during the distribution: "The quilts you (CCT-WAMA) distributed taught us a lesson. Prior to the distribution we had not realized that the elderly people here needed that kind of material to protect themselves from the cold weather in June up to August. We realized that the elderly people were so happy and comfortable with the quilts."
Evangelist Mndeme speaking about the recipients of quilts in a parish in the south of India: "This area is very cold. After receiving the quilts some of the recipients thanked us with tears of joy coming out of their eyes. The following day, many of the old people who received the quilts testified to us that they had a sound sleep."
