Improving Access to Health and Education for Impoverished Children in Syria

09:05 Oct 25 2012 Damascus, Syria

Description
With a continuing influx of refugees from Iraq and the ongoing violent conflict in Syria, poverty and inequality levels have increased significantly in Syria. Recent estimates show around a third of Syrians living in poverty, defined as being unable to cover a reasonable amount of their basic needs.

School Kits and Personal Care Kits were distributed to children at impoverished schools across the country, including schools that serve Iraqi refugee students. These Kits helped children in need stay healthy and learning.
